Frequently Asked Questions About Microblading

Why Choose Microblading?

Having bad brows is a bummer. Investing time in front of the mirror trying to make them better will make you crazy . Worrying if they got ruined can kill your confidence and cause anxiety. Having perfect brows from Luminate can truly be a life changing experience!

What makes Luminate AVL different?

When it comes to doing a microblading procedure, the difference in skill and artistry between people can be dramatic and so are the outcomes and cost of the procedure. The truth is, not every microblader has the same skill level. Although there are brow artists all over the country, the technique at luminate is refined and unlike any other in the industry.

How long is the procedure?

Appointment are usually about 3 hours. This includes brow mapping, pigment matching, and microblading.

What does it feel like? Does it hurt?

Most people report only feeling minor pressure or discomfort and less pain than a typical tattoo due to the use of a numbing cream. Some level of pain or discomfort should be expected but it is very mild.

What is the healing process? How long does it take to heal?

After your microblading session, your skin should heal in 25 to 30 days. It'll likely feel tender at first, but this will pass after a couple days. Your brows will also initially darken and lighten before revealing their final color. It's normal for your skin to flake and peel as healing takes place, we recommend that you try not to touch them.

How often will I need a touch up?

We recommend an annual touch up to keep the color crisp. It will vary from client to client, but it can be 9 months to 2 years, depending on the client’s skin type and life style.

Who is best suited for this procedure?

People with normal skin are the ideal candidate for microblading, not overly oily or sensitive. We will sometimes suggest Combo Brows for client’s with semi-oily skin and oily skin clients are better suited for Powder Brows.

How do I prepare for my appointment?
